Parental involvement with the process and activities is mandatory. Parents are involved in establishing the direction and focus along with expectations and opportunities. Parents' and youths' responsibilities are reflected in an agreement that is reviewed, discussed, and signed by the parent(s), guardians, and participants.

Parents attend four (4) mandatory workshops a year. These workshops address the six (6) major emphasis areas.
